About

My name is Nicholas Sardinia, and I am an engineer with multiple years of experience developing software applications and mechanical products. Through my studies at the University of Florida, I have become proficient programming in C++ and certified in SolidWorks. I am comfortable developing front-end applications using HTML, CSS, and Javascript. Additionally, I have experience programming in Java, C#, Python, and ARM assembly. Ultimately, I love to create and develop. Below you can find my portfolio showcasing my work.

Computer Science

I am studying computer science and mechanical engineering because I aspire to learn all I can about the mechanisms that move our world and the software that powers them. I love software development, but I also want to know how to build mechanical systems and hardware to support my software.

I am currently studying computer science and mechanical engineering at the University of Florida. Here are some of the courses I have taken recently:

  • Data Structures and Algorithms: I refined my C++ skills, learned how to write more efficient code, and studied popular algorithms like Dijkstra's.
  • Computer Organization: I learned ARM Assembly basics and studied how a computer manages memory (specifically, we looked at cache design and virtual memory)
  • Control of Mechanical Systems: I learned how to model and control physical systems with a focus on PID, underactuated controls, and stability.
